Vintage 1996 Second Edition French Barbie Dolls of the World #16499 NRFB

Ooh, lah lah. This second-edition French Barbie features Barbie as a Moulin Rouge dancer. Her mid-calf-length dress has a very-French blue and white striped, lace-trimmed bodice and a fuchsia skirt with a ruffle under-skirt to swish during her cancan routine. A hat trimmed with flowers and feathers, black stockings and boots, a choker necklace and button earrings complete her look.
The back of the box gives you a glimpse of French culture, complete with images of the Eiffel Tower, the Tour de France bicycle race, and French bread and cheese. My only question is, where’s the bottle of table wine to go with the bread and cheese?
This doll has never been out of her box. The box is “magnifique” with no visible flaws. I love the lace garter trim detail on the front of the box. Included are a stand and a brush.
Made in Malaysia. For ages 3 and up. From a non-smoking, Barbie-loving home.
