Vintage 1939 Italian food tri-fold menu from
The Casa Villa - Seattle's Lucca".
measures about 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" when closed.  Made to be taken home and mailed as a postcard. The paper is thin, and has some corner bends and a nick at bottom of seam after the word RESERVATION. Shows a fair amount of handling wear, with creases and bends. The cover has the date 1939 written on front.  (Interesting note: the inside has two swastikas on center top margin of menu, which was a good luck sign. But it's also the symbol of the Third Reich, which formed the Axis agreement with Italy in May of 1939. Hopefully just a coincidence.)  Nice piece of Seattle history!
