ROYAL WINTON SUNSHINE CHINTZ 32 OZ JUG ,GLOBE SHAPE, EXCELLENT CONDITION

Here's a
ROYAL WINTON pattern I've seen very little of, SUNSHINE, a very similar line to the popular Summertime line and introduced at about the same time, 1930. This is the Globe shaped jug. It stands, 4-7/8" to the top of the spout and has a capacity of a full quart, 32oz, but would probably be more comfortably used at about 26-28 oz. The pattern is fully intact and there is no wear to the gold trim. It's listed as pattern # 4030,  and is marked with a pattern number in gold, not fully legible as A40??. The other marks are the circular green GRIMWADES A with MADE IN ENGLAND  and a blue SUNSHINE. There is also an impressed GLOBE mark. There are no chips, cracks repairs and very little crazing. There is a short slightly darkened 1" glaze line in the base near the mark (photo 5),  but it does not pass through the clay....nothing visible on the interior. A lovely piece.
