About Sensor
How O2 sensor work
The oxygen sensor is a standard configuration on the car. It uses ceramic sensitive elements to measure the oxygen potential in the car exhaust pipe, and calculates the corresponding oxygen concentration based on the chemical balance principle to monitor and control the combustion air-fuel ratio to ensure product quality and exhaust gas Emissions up to standard measuring elements. Oxygen sensor is widely used in the atmosphere control of various types of coal combustion, oil combustion, gas combustion, etc. It is the best combustion atmosphere measurement method at present. It has the advantages of simple structure, rapid response, easy maintenance, convenient use, accurate measurement, etc. . Using the sensor to measure and control the combustion atmosphere can not only stabilize and improve product quality, but also shorten the production cycle and save energy.
Testing
An electronically controlled fuel injection engine equipped with an exhaust oxygen sensor, if there are problems such as unstable idling, weak acceleration, increased fuel consumption, excessive exhaust gas, etc., and there are no other faults in the fuel supply and ignition device, then it is most likely an oxygen sensor There is a problem with related lines.
Most of the engine's electronic control system has a self-check function. When the oxygen sensor or related parts fails, the computer will automatically record the fault content, and the maintenance personnel only need to use a special decoder to read the fault code to find the problem. But what if there is no special equipment? There are several ways to quickly check the quality of the oxygen sensor.
If it is suspected that malfunctions such as unstable idle speed or poor acceleration are caused by the oxygen sensor, just unplug the oxygen sensor connector during maintenance. If the engine failure disappears, the oxygen sensor has been damaged and must be replaced
Common faults of oxygen sensors
1. Oxygen sensor poisoning
Oxygen sensor poisoning is a fault that often occurs and is difficult to prevent, especially for cars that often use leaded gasoline. Even a new oxygen sensor can only work for a few thousand kilometers. If it is only a slight lead poisoning, then using a box of unleaded gasoline can eliminate the lead on the surface of the oxygen sensor and restore it to normal operation.

Remove the oxygen sensor from the exhaust pipe and check whether the vent hole on the sensor housing is blocked or the ceramic core is damaged. If it is damaged, the oxygen sensor should be replaced.
The fault can also be judged by observing the color of the top part of the oxygen sensor:
①Light gray top: this is the normal color of the oxygen sensor;
②White tip: caused by silicon pollution, the oxygen sensor must be replaced at this time;
③Brown tip: caused by lead pollution, if it is serious, the oxygen sensor must be replaced;
④Black tip: It is caused by carbon deposits. After the engine carbon deposit fault is eliminated, the carbon deposits on the oxygen sensor can generally be automatically removed.

How O2 sensor work
The oxygen sensor is a standard configuration on the car. It uses ceramic sensitive elements to measure the oxygen potential in the car exhaust pipe, and calculates the corresponding oxygen concentration based on the chemical balance principle to monitor and control the combustion air-fuel ratio to ensure product quality and exhaust gas Emissions up to standard measuring elements. It has the advantages of simple structure, rapid response, easy maintenance, convenient use, accurate measurement, etc. . Testing
An electronically controlled fuel injection engine equipped with an exhaust oxygen sensor, if there are problems such as unstable idling, weak acceleration, increased fuel consumption, excessive exhaust gas, etc., and there are no other faults in the fuel supply and ignition device, then it is most likely an oxygen sensor There is a problem with related lines.

Common faults of oxygen sensors
1. Oxygen sensor poisoning
Oxygen sensor poisoning is a fault that often occurs and is difficult to prevent, especially for cars that often use leaded gasoline. Even a new oxygen sensor can only work for a few thousand kilometers. If it is only a slight lead poisoning, then using a box of unleaded gasoline can eliminate the lead on the surface of the oxygen sensor and restore it to normal operation.
