The BBHD-12 is our most popular model for the Hospitality Industry.  It has a suitcase handle and wheels for easy transportation.  The heater temperature is set at 140 degrees and will not damage any electronics or FF&E.  Bed bugs die at 111 degrees and their eggs die at 117 degrees.  Our heater will bring the temperature of the room to at least 121 degrees in all the cracks and crevices of the room.  An instruction card and video are included as part of the package.  This heater is ideal for the property maintenance staff or for the Pest Control Operator to use in hotels.

How Effective is heat in treating bed bugs?
Heat is the only 100% effective treatment in killing bed bugs.  Bed bugs die at 111 degrees and their eggs die at 117 degrees.  7 of the 12 species of bed bugs are either immune or becoming immune to the chemicals used in treatments.
What type of power do I need to run this heater?
Any DIY system uses two or three hotel rooms to reach full power for the unit.  The BBHD-12 is compact and only uses two hotel rooms for full power (450 square feet).  If the room is small enough (under 225 square feet) you may be able to power the machine in one single room.  With our hotel package, we provide a 20 foot 220 volt extension cord and a 50 foot 220 volt extension cord.  The 110 volt cords are 15 feet and 50 feet which makes it easy to reach the power in the second room.
