GRANDFATHER PEYOTE - Anthropomorphic Botanical Hallucinogen Face Jug

Peyote has been in use by the Native population of North America for at least 5500 years. The Huichol Indians believe that the god of wisdom is a blue deer named Prince Jiculi.  One day the blue deer was chased by evil witches and had to turn himself into a peyote cactus to escape them.  This jar would make a get home for a Grandfather.   He was thrown on a potter's wheel, and his features were hand sculpted.  His eyes and teeth are porcelain.   This character would look great in any Kitchen or any Face Jug collection.  This face jug is initialed and dated by the artist.  All glazes are dishwasher and food safe. It is an OOAK, was designed and made by me, Susi Nagoda Bergquist.
