    Details
    Description:
A nice round small pie plate with a rounded base and having flared rounded sides terminating in a coggled rim. The plate has a slip design in yellow coloring showing Two fish on top of each other surrounded by three black circles with a yellow circle between the first two and a zig zag line between the second black circle and the third on along the edge of the plate. There is a dark wave above the fish and the date 1863 below them. This is obviously a reproduction of a 1863 plate and is very well done. The design is drawn on an orangish-brown colored background. The back of the plate is dated and signed by Greg Shooner, the artist who decorated the plate. This plate, as usual with all Shooner pieces, is a reproduction of a nineteenth century piece of primitive redware. It is a nice-looking dish and would make a great addition to your collection. Please view the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
